Eminem to Release EP With Rapper Royce Da 5'9"

Eminem, pictures, picture, photos, photo, pics, pic, images, image, hot, sexy, latest, new, 2011DETROIT – Eminem plans to release an EP of new material that he recorded with fellow Detroit rapper Royce da 5'9".

The pair first worked together in the late 1990s, calling themselves Bad Meets Evil, with Royce da 5'9" as the "bad" and Eminem as the "evil" half of the duo.

One of the songs they recorded in those days, called "Bad Meets Evil," appeared on Eminem's major label debut, "The Slim Shady LP."

The high court on Monday refused to hear an appeal from Universal Music Group.

The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said F.B.T. Productions LLC's contract entitled Eminem and his producers to a 50-50 split with Universal for recordings licensed to digital distributors such as Apple Inc.'s iTunes.

The 38-year-old rapper is in the running for several major awards, including Album, Song and Record of the Year.

Rising R&B star Bruno Mars was second with seven nominations, with rapper Jay-Z, pop star Lady Gaga and country group Lady Antebellum following just behind with six nominations each.

Teen heartthrob Justin Bieber followed just behind with four nods, while B.o.B., Katy Perry, Ke$ha and Usher all scored three nominations.

Demi Lovato and Taio Cruz announced the nominees from the JW Marriott Los Angeles at L.A. Live.

Eminem to Perform at 2010 MTV Video Music Awards

The 37-year-old rapper led all male artists with eight VMA nominations, including best male video and video of the year for "Not Afraid." He joins previously announced performers Kanye West, Justin Bieber, Drake, B.o.B and Florence + The Machine.

Eminem made headlines earlier this month when he lashed out at the timing of next month's VMA ceremony.

The hit track's video, which premiered Thursday night on MTV and Vevo, packs plenty of star power. In addition to the vocal stars, the video features former Transformers beauty Megan Fox and Lost actor Dominic Monaghan.

LOS ANGELES — The wait is over for Eminem fans.

The rapper's "Not Afraid" music video premiered Saturday on Vevo. The single is the first song from Eminem's highly anticipated new album Recovery, which drops on June 22.

"Not Afraid" shows a different side of the rapper, whose often fiery lyrics have ruffled more than a few feathers during the course of his career.

"I'm not afraid to take a stand / everybody, come take my hand / we'll walk this road together, through the storm / whatever weather... you're not alone / holler if you feel that you been down the same road," Eminem sings on the hook.

LOS ANGELES — Eminem has debuted his new single "Not Afraid," a track that shows the artist making a musical change for the positive.

The track leaked early Thursday on the Web, just before the 37-year-old rapper was scheduled to debut it on the Shade 45 Sirius Satellite radio show, "The Morning After With Angela Yee."

Elton John Still Helping Eminem Kick Drug Problem

LOS ANGELES — Elton John is still lending his support to Eminem as the controversial rapper attempts to beat a drug addiction.

"I've been helping Eminem over the last 18 months and he's doing brilliantly," the 62-year-old John shared in an interview with BBC Radio's Danny Baker.

In May, Eminem confessed to The Sun that he reached out to John as he sought to overcome his addiction to several prescription drugs, including the heroin substitute methadone. The unlikely pair first hit it off when they performed together at the 2001 Grammys.

The 36-year-old rapper debuted a new song Thursday titled "The Warning," in which he continues an ongoing feud that began earlier this year with his track "Bagpipes From Baghdad."

Eminem's latest attack maintains the rapper's stance that he once had a romantic relationship with Carey, a claim that both she and her current husband, Nick Cannon, have denied.

In his new verbal assault, Eminem raps that he's more pissed off than ever.
