Diddy to Guest Star on 'CSI: Miami'

DiddyHOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Sean "Diddy" Combs is adding prosecutor to his ever-growing resume.

The music mogul is set to guest star on two episodes of CBS' "CSI: Miami," the network announced Tuesday.

According to The Associated Press, the 39-year-old Combs will play a prosecutor who is a nemesis to police Lt. Horatio Caine, a character portrayed by David Caruso.

The two-episode arc will most likely air in mid- to late winter, AP says.

Hilary Duff Returning to TV with New NBC Series

The 21-year-old star, who rose to fame starring on the Disney Channel series "Lizzie McGuire," has inked a talent and development deal with NBC, network executives confirmed to Access Hollywood.

The CBS sitcom has lined up some of the biggest stars in reality TV land for an upcoming episode, having signed on Kim Kardashian from "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," Kendra Wilkinson from "The Girls Next Door," and Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt from "The Hills."

Brooke Smith Fired From 'Grey's Anatomy'

Brooke SmithHOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Brooke Smith has been dropped from "Grey's Anatomy," reports Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello.

Smith, who starred as Dr. Erica Hahn on the hit ABC show, said the network's decision was a total shocker.

"I was surprised and disappointed when they just suddenly told me that they couldn't write for my character anymore," said Smith, who tells EW that she received the shocking news in mid-September.

Melrose Place Spinoff in the Works by CW

The CW Network is reportedly in talks to resurrect the cult-favorite '90s show, network execs tell The Associated Press.

CW spokesperson Paul Hewitt tells AP that the network is currently exploring whether to put the new series into development in time for the 2009-10 TV season.

Gale Howard Out of Intensive Care Following Motorcycle Accident

Gale HowardHOLLYWOOD, Calif. — "Desperate Housewives" star Gale Harold is making progress in his recovery from a motorcycle crash earlier this month.

"Gale Harold is out of intensive care and improving daily. A full recovery is expected," a rep for the star told Access Hollywood in a statement.

The 39-year-old actor is being treated at the L.A. County USC Medical Center.

Taylor Momsen Leaves Hospital After Battling Life-Threatening Throat Infection

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Taylor Momsen has been battling a serious throat infection this week that required her to be hospitalized, according to Us Weekly.

The "Gossip Girl" star was released Wednesday from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where she has been undergoing treatment.

"I have been treating Miss Taylor Momsen for the last few days," Momsen's doctor, Shawn Nasseri, told the magazine. "She has been hospitalized for a severe, potentially life-threatening throat infection since Sunday."

Julianne Hough Hospitalized Following 'Dancing Wth the Stars'

Julianne HoughHOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Julianne Hough went to the hospital to be treated for a stomach problem following Tuesday's "Dancing With the Stars," her publicist confirmed to The Associated Press.

"She was experiencing slight stomach pains all day that increased and the doctors thought it was best to have them checked out," said rep Cindy Guagenti. "But she didn't collapse."
