Melissa Rycroft Lands 'Entertainment Tonight' Job

The reality show beauty will be working for Entertainment Tonight as a special correspondent, her rep confirmed Wednesday.

Rycroft's first assignment was an exciting one. On Monday, she covered the star-studded "We Are the World" remake session at Henson Recording Studios (formerly A&M) in Hollywood. Her future work for the program will include award ceremonies, premieres and set visits.

Justin Mentell, Boston Legal, dies, dead, death, obituary, pictures, picture, photos, photo, pics, pic, images, image, hot, sexy, latest, newDODGEVILLE, Wis. — Boston Legal star Justin Mentell was pronounced dead early Monday following a single-car accident in rural Wisconsin, the Associated Press reports. He was 27.

Mentell was killed when his Jeep went down a steep embankment off Highway 39 and hit two trees around 8:30 a.m. Police said the actor, who attended high school in nearby Waukegan, Ill., was not wearing a seat belt.

'Jersey Shore' Cast Returning for Second Season

The cast of MTV's surprise hit Jersey Shore has signed on for a second season, the network announced Friday.

Pauly Delvecchio, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Jenni "J-WOWW" Farley, Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola, Ronnie Margo and Vinny Guadagnino will all "escape the cold Northeast and find themselves in a new destination" when the new season kicks off in the summer, MTV said.

Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney Wedding to Air on ABC

LOS ANGELES — Get ready for another primetime wedding.

The Bachelor couple Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney will tie the knot next month on ABC, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Bachelor: Jason and Molly's Wedding, which will feature the couple planning their big day, is set to air on March 8. In addition to the ceremony, the two-hour special will include the bride's dress fitting and the respective bachelor and bachelorette parties. Former Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants will be on the guest list, the trade publication said.

'Ugly Betty' Canceled by ABC

LOS ANGELES — Betty Suarez and the Mode magazine staff have joined the growing ranks of the unemployed.

Ugly Betty has been canceled by ABC after four seasons on the air, the network announced Wednesday.

"We've mutually come to the difficult decision to make this Ugly Betty's final season, and are announcing now as we want to allow the show ample time to write a satisfying conclusion," executive producer Silvio Horta and ABC president Stephen McPherson said in a joint statement. "We are extremely proud of this groundbreaking series, and felt it was important to give the fans a proper farewell."

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Jimmy Kimmel made an appearance on Thursday night's Jay Leno Show, where he proceeded to slam the master of ceremonies.

When Leno asked about the best prank Kimmel had ever pulled, the ABC funnyman responding with a knife.

"I told a guy that five years from now I'm going to give you my show. And then when the five years came up, I gave it to him and took it back almost instantly," said Kimmel, referencing Leno's potential move back to late night that would impact Conan O'Brien's Tonight Show duties.

The attacks didn't stop there.

"Ever order anything off the TV?" asked Leno.

"Like NBC ordered your show off the TV?" replied Kimmel.

Video: Jimmy Fallon as Neil Young 'Pants on the Ground'

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Jimmy Fallon busted out his Neil Young impression Thursday night for the latest rendition of "Pants on the Ground."

Fallon, who previously impersonated Young while singing the theme song from The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, offered a heart-wrenching rendition of the buzz-worthy tune. The track caught fire after 62-year-old General Larry Platt performed it on Wednesday night's American Idol broadcast.

"Pants on the ground, pants on the ground, lookin' like a fool with your pants on the ground," go the veteran's lyrics. "With the gold in your mouth, hat turned sideway, pants hit the ground / Call yourself a cool cat, looking like a fool, walkin' downtown with your pants on the ground!"

Rep: Conan O'Brien's 'Tonight Show' Not Ending on Jan. 22

"Not true," his rep tells Us Weekly. "He has a scheduled hiatus the week of Jan. 25."

The swift denial came hours after People magazine reported that O'Brien's final show would air on Jan. 22.

On Tuesday, O'Brien slammed NBC's plan to move the Tonight Show back a half hour to accommodate Jay Leno's return to late night.
