MIAMI BEACH, Fla. — The Who, led by rock legends' Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey, hit the stage Sunday for the Super Bowl XLIV Halftime Show.

The British band kicked off their 12-minute performance at Miami's Sun Life Stadium with "Pinball Wizard." They followed with "Baba O'Riley," "Who Are You," "See Me Feel Me" and a fireworks-emblazoned finale of "Won't Get Fooled Again."

Taylor Swift's Grammy Performance Defended by Label CEO

Submitted by Dave Paris on February 4, 2010

LOS ANGELES — Taylor Swift's label is coming to her defense after widespread criticism about the singer's vocals during a duet with Stevie Nicks at Sunday's Grammy Awards.

"She is the voice of this generation. She speaks directly to (her fans), and they speak directly back to her," said Scott Borchetta, CEO of Big Machine Records, in an interview with the Associated Press. "This is not American Idol. This is not a competition of getting up and seeing who can sing the highest note. This is about a true artist and writer and communicator. It's not about that technically perfect performance."

Borchetta said the criticism of Swift, who won four Grammys at the 52nd annual ceremony, has been "over the top."

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen and Cyndi Lauper were nowhere to be found Monday at the "We Are the World" remake session held at Henson Recording Studios (formerly A&M) in Hollywood.

The trio, along with the late Michael Jackson, were some of the most prominent contributors when the original anthem was produced in 1985. However, the contemporary version, which will benefit victims of January's devastating earthquake in Haiti, features a new cast of stars headlined by Justin Bieber, Lil Wayne, Wyclef Jean, Josh Groban and Will.I.Am. The building, which was also the site of the original recording, was also packed with plenty of hip-hop stars.

Fall Out Boy Confirms Breakup

Submitted by Rich King on February 3, 2010

LOS ANGELES — After months of speculation, Fall Out Boy has finally confirmed that they are no longer making sweet music together.

"I'm not in Fall Out Boy right now," the band's frontman, Patrick Stump, revealed in an interview Tuesday with Spin magazine. "But one way or another, the band will always be around. Steven Tyler isn't in Aerosmith anymore, but his gravestone will probably say something about Aerosmith. Whether we play again or not, I don't know. If we do, it will be for the right reasons. If we don't, it will also be for the right reasons."

Stump was responding after bassist Pete Wentz spoke about the band's breakup Monday night on Twitter.
