LOS ANGELES – Russell Brand was refused entry to Canada at the weekend.
The comedian-and-actor - who has a history of drug use and has been arrested 12 times for offences including criminal damage and indecent exposure - was stopped from entering the country ahead of a show in Orilla, Ontario, on Saturday.

LOS ANGELES – Russell Brand has a cameo in Noel Gallagher's new music video.
The comic star is good friends with the ex-Oasis guitarist - acting as best man at the musician's recent wedding - and eventually convinced Noel to re-write the plot for the promo for 'AKA... What A Life' so he could be in it.

LOS ANGELES — Russell Brand was arrested on Friday at Los Angeles International Airport after he allegedly got into an altercation with the paparazzi.
The 35-year-old star was taken into custody for a misdemeanor charge of simple battery, police officials told the Associated Press.
The actor-comedian's bail was set at $20,000.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Russell Brand says clothing is going to be optional at his upcoming wedding to Katy Perry.
"We are going to do the wedding naked! All the families will be naked!" the 34-year-old British star joked to People at Sunday's Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — It may not be prom night, but Britney Spears and Russell Brand are hoping to connect for the upcoming 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.
In a new promo for the Sept. 13 awards show, Spears is seen strutting around in a white bikini as she ponders getting a call from Brand, who is returning to host the event for the second straight year.
"I wonder if he'll invite me," wonders the pop star. "I mean, I can obviously get an invite, but it would be nice for Russell to invite me personally, now that we're friends and all."
Brand, meanwhile, is fighting is own inner demons, wondering if perhaps his controversial ways had set him back.
