SINGAPORE – Paula Abdul said Friday her reunion with Simon Cowell on his new talent show is going great, for now.
"We're still in the honeymoon phase, which will probably only last another minute," the 48-year-old Abdul told reporters in Singapore. "Simon and I ended up having a wonderful, exquisite, challenging and frightening relationship."

NEW YORK – A person familiar with negotiations for "The X Factor" says Paula Abdul will be the fourth judge on the new Fox singing competition.
Abdul will be on hand for Sunday's taping of the first judging session in Los Angeles, according to a person familiar with the talks. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because Fox and the show's producers had not authorized public comment.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. – Paula Abdul made a frantic 911 call on Valentine's Day after getting into an argument with her boyfriend as the two drove near Santa Barbara, Calif.
"I want out of this car and he won't let me!" a sobbing Abdul tells the dispatcher in the 911 call tape obtained by TMZ.
Moments later, the Live to Dance host asks her mystery man, "Are you gonna drop me off? Are you gonna drop me off, 'cause I have emergency on the phone."

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Paula Abdul's job search may be over.
The former American Idol judge is in the midst of finalizing a deal to help ABC relaunch the classic '80s talent competition Star Search, according to Entertainment Weekly.
The network isn't commenting, but the 47-year-old Abdul would reportedly juggle hosting and judging duties for the reboot, which could debut this summer.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Paula Abdul paid homage to her "American Idol" replacement Thursday night while hosting VH1's "Divas Live."
Abdul took the stage wearing a blonde wig and suit, a trademark look of Ellen DeGeneres, who signed on last week as the newest "Idol" judge.
"Why are you all staring at me? Can't a girl try out for a new job?," joked the 47-year-old "Straight Up" impersonator.
Abdul then got serious as she sat down in a setting eerily similar to that of the daytime talk-show host.
"All kidding aside, [I have] nothing but love for Ellen, and I wish you the best of luck and congratulations on your new gig," said Abdul.
"And call me!" she added. "You gotta call me if you have any Simon problems, 'cause you know, I know him best."

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Paula Abdul has picked up another "Diva" gig.
The 47-year-old singer has revealed that she'll be hosting VH1's "Divas" in New York next month.
"Hi guys! im really excited 2 announce ill b hosting this year's 'Vh1 Divas'! The show will be live on Sept 17th @ 9 pm EST," wrote Abdul on her Twitter page Monday night.
Abdul, who announced her departure from "American Idol" earlier this month, said she is looking forward to the talented lineup on this year's program.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Paula Abdul may be out of work like a lot of Americans, but don't expect her phone to stop ringing.
On Saturday, ABC Entertainment President Stephen McPherson told reporters at the Television Critics Association summer press tour that his network would welcome Abdul with open arms. So could the former "American Idol" judge land a seat next Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli on ABC's reality hit "Dancing With the Stars?"

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Paula Abdul is finished with "American Idol."
After months of speculation about her future on the show, the 47-year-old Abdul has announced that she is quitting the hit Fox singing competition.
"With sadness in my heart, I've decided not to return to Idol," she Tweeted late Tuesday. "I'll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all being a part of a show that I helped from day one become an international phenomenon."
