PARIS – The house that John Galliano built is now that of Bill Gaytten.
Never heard of him? Neither had most of the fashion editors, journalists, stylists and buyers at Friday's spring-summer 2012 menswear display at John Galliano, the label that bears the name of the disgraced designer who was sacked from Christian Dior and his own signature label earlier this year after a video showing him praising Hitler went viral on the internet.

NEW YORK – It seems the fashion crowd, especially when fully decked out for Monday night's Council of Fashion Designers of America awards, can be pretty intimidating: CNN anchor Anderson Cooper said so, actress Naomi Watts said so, and even Lady Gaga said so.
On stage to accept her award as the year's top style icon, a soft-spoken, maybe even teary-eyed Gaga said she was nervous.

LOS ANGELES – An autopsy on the 33-year-old co-founder of a popular hip hop-oriented Southern California clothing company has failed to determine a cause of death, and authorities will now wait for results from toxicological and other tests, authorities said Wednesday.
Fashion entrepreneur Jonas Bevacqua was found dead Tuesday at his Laguna Beach home. Authorities have ruled out homicide, and there was no immediate indication Bevacqua was suffering from a medical condition, Orange County sheriff's spokesman Jim Amormino said. Tests could take six to eight weeks to come back, he said.
Bevacqua and his partner, Robert Wright, founded Lifted Research Group, known to patrons as LRG, in 1999 with start-up capital raised in part from friends of Bevacqua's father.
