In a complaint filed Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court, Simmons asked the court for a judicial declaration that no assault took place and that ESPN makeup artist Victoria Jackson did not suffer any damages or injuries attributable to him.

Desperate Housewives stars Eva Longoria Parker, Teri Hatcher, Marcia Cross and Felicity Huffman issued a joint statement Tuesday pledging their support for show creator Marc Cherry, who is being sued by former cast member Nicollette Sheridan.
"It would be irresponsible of us to let the public believe that being a part of this show from its inception has been anything but a blessing," the show's stars said in a statement to People. "We have no first-hand knowledge of what Nicollette may or may not have experienced, but we would never characterize our set as a hostile environment."

NEW YORK — Lindsay Lohan is fed up with E-Trade's talking babies.
The 23-year-old actress is suing the financial services firm over a television commercial that first aired during February's Super Bowl, Reuters reports.
In the lawsuit, which was filed Monday in New York, Lohan seeks $100 million in damages for unauthorized used of her likeness.
The ad in question features a baby boy apologizing to his girlfriend for not calling her the night before.
"And that milkaholic Lindsay wasn't over?" the baby girl asks.
The camera then switches back to the boy, who squirms and replies "Lindsay?" before another baby girl, presumably Lindsay, pops up and asks, "Milk-a-what?"

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Rihanna's rockin' body is headed to court.
The 22-year-old singer is being sued by her personal trainer, who claims the R&B star failed to pay up for several 2009 workouts, TMZ reports.
Trainer Cindy Percival filed the lawsuit last week in Los Angeles County Superior Court, claiming Rihanna still owes her more than $26,000 in unpaid wages for a couple of weeks of work together last fall.
