LOS ANGELES – Lauryn Hill is being sued after being accused of stealing clothes from a former fashion consultant.
The 36-year-old singer - who recently gave birth to her sixth child - has been hit with a lawsuit which alleges she walked away with the majority of a "wardrobe of high fashion items" that were provided by company Via Davia Vintage for her 2007 European tour.

HOUSTON – Veteran R&B diva Patti LaBelle says in a countersuit filed against a West Point cadet who claims she ordered her bodyguards to beat him up outside a Houston airport terminal that the altercation began after the cadet hurled racial insults at her.
But an attorney for the cadet, Richard King, denied his client ever said any racial slurs to LaBelle.

BURBANK, Calif. – The tattoo artist who sued over Ed Helms' tattoo in "The Hangover Part II" has settled his lawsuit over the design, which resembles the facial ink the artist created for Mike Tyson.
Warner Bros. spokesman Paul McGuire said Monday that the movie studio and S. Victor Whitmill amicably resolved their dispute. McGuire declined to discuss the case further.
In the movie, Helms' character, Stu, wakes up in a Bangkok bathtub with a facial tattoo.

LOS ANGELES – Charlie Sheen may not get quite the audience he wanted for his $100 million lawsuit over his firing from "Two and a Half Men" - a judge on Wednesday ruled that an arbitrator should determine whether the case is handled privately or in a public courtroom.

NEW YORK – The Bravo network says a Chicago family's lawsuit against cast members of its "Real Housewives of New Jersey" show is without merit because two family members already have negotiated settlements.
The cable television channel issued a statement Tuesday night saying that $25,000 settlements negotiated by Adolfo Arreola and his cousin, Jason Gomez, "will be enforced and these claims are completely without merit." Bravo isn't commenting on the specifics of the lawsuit.

LOS ANGELES – Nicolas Cage starred in a courthouse drama Tuesday that included negotiating sessions with a judge and ended with the actor settling a multimillion dollar lawsuit with an ex-girlfriend.
The Oscar-winning actor spent more than six hours at a downtown courthouse, repeatedly meeting with the judge who brokered an end to the case filed over payments and a house that Cage's ex-girlfriend claimed she was promised.

LOS ANGELES – Nicolas Cage met with a judge Tuesday to try to settle a lawsuit filed by his ex-girlfriend over money and a house she claims the Oscar-winner promised her.
Cage walked past ex-girlfriend Christina Fulton on his way into a conference with Superior Court Judge Teresa Sanchez-Gordon, who urged attorneys handling the case to try to reach a settlement before trial. He and his attorneys were in chambers for roughly 90 minutes before Fulton and her lawyers were called before the judge.

NEW YORK – A Chicago family says members of the "Real Housewives of New Jersey" cast were real louts during a boozy trip to a Caribbean resort.
Yolanda Martinez and some of her relatives filed a lawsuit Monday in New York. They say Teresa Guidice from the "Bravo series" sprayed Champagne in Martinez' face, and then Guidice and others on the show beat up Martinez' son-in-law and his cousin Feb. 23 in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

NEW YORK – A record label that singer-guitarist Joan Jett and 1970s bandmate Cherie Currie are suing to stop the release of a tribute album in homage to their early punk band says the recording was made "with the best of intentions" to raise funds for cancer research.
Main Man Records said Friday it had not received a copy of the lawsuit filed in Manhattan, but said it would vigorously defend itself.

NEW YORK – Joan Jett loves rock and roll, but not on a tribute album she says an ex-employee put together without her permission.
The "I Love Rock N' Roll" singer-guitarist and 1970s bandmate Cherie Currie sued Thursday to try to stop the June 28 release of "Take It or Leave It: A Tribute to the Queens of Noise," an intended homage to the Runaways, the punk bank that launched their careers and helped light a path for other brash, hard-edged female rock groups.
