HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — It's official! Katie Holmes is slipping on her dancing shoes.
After weeks of rumors, it been confirmed that Holmes will appear on Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance," where she'll perform in a song and dance tribute to Judy Garland.
The show's executive producer, Nigel Lythgoe, announced during Wednesday night's broadcast that Holmes will appear on the program's 100th episode, airing on July 23.
The 30-year-old Holmes is also dancing for a good cause as her appearance is tied to the Dizzy Feet Foundation. The charity, which aims to improve access to dance education, was co-founded by Holmes and Lythgoe, along with "Dancing With the Stars" judge Carrie Ann Inaba and "Hairspray" director Adam Shankman.
"I think it's important for children to experience music and dance," said Holmes in a statement. "Every child should have the opportunity to discover what it is they like and have access to the very best in that pursuit."
