HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Khloe Kardashian is less than thrilled about getting the heave ho on Sunday's episode of "Celebrity Apprentice."
The 24-year-old sounded off on her blog Monday after Donald Trump showed her the door because she was arrested for a DUI in 2007.
"It wasn't because of my work ethic, it wasn't because I was slacking — it was because of my DUI, one of the biggest mistakes I've ever made that I will forever regret," wrote Kardashian of her firing. "I will NEVER say that what I did was right, but I think it is completely unrelated to my place on the show and I don't think I should have been fired for that reason alone. I have tried to bring awareness to how serious DUI's are and I am trying to make some right out of my huge mistake."
Kardashian's arrest came to light when she missed time on the hit NBC reality series to meet her DUI sentence requirements.
"I hate people who drive under the influence," said Trump in the boardroom, admitting that he's had several close friends lose family members as a result of DUI's.
Kardashian said she was disappointed that Trump wouldn't give her the courtesy of a second chance as he's notably done with others. She specifically pointed out former Miss USA winner Tara Conner, who was nearly dethroned of her title in 2006 after several incidents involving alcohol, drugs and scandalous photos.
"I just wish Mr. Trump would have handled the situation a little differently," wrote Kardashian. "I find it weird that he can forgive and take back Tara Conner but he can't do the same with me?! The things people do for ratings!"
One person happy with the firing is Kardashian's older sister, Kim, who admitted on her own blog: "I'm glad she's home!"
"She obviously made an awful mistake but definitely has taken responsibility for her actions and we are all very proud of her," added Kim.
