Kasey Kahl Doesn't Regret Getting Tattoo for Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky

By Erica Bowen on June 26, 2010

Ali Fedotowsky, Kasey Kahl, The Bachelorette, Bachelorette, tattoo, pictures, picture, photos, photo, pics, pic, images, image, latest, new, hot, sexy, 2010HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Kasey Kahl doesn't regret the tattoo he got in an effort to win over Ali Fedotowsky, even though he still got booted from last week's episode of The Bachelorette.

Kahl, a 27-year-old advertising executive from central California, discussed his famous body art and more on a conference call with reporters after his final episode. Here are a few of the highlights:

Now that you've had some time to process everything, do you have any regrets about getting the tattoo?

No, not at all. I mean the tattoo is awesome. I mean, it's definitely an amazing thing that I got for myself and, you know, the whole process through it all it was just, it was great, I love it. It's a great thing.

What do you think was missing in your relationship with Ali?

I wanted it to be there. I wanted her to feel the connection for me, because I did develop some feelings for her. I just wasn't what she was looking for. And she was honest with me and she is an awesome, amazing woman. The fact that she let me go when she did was very noble and sweet and kind. I definitely thank her for letting me go when she did.

"To guard and protect hearts" became your slogan on the show. Is this something you’ve always preached or did you make it up on the show?

Like I told Ali [in] the first one-on-one conversation, I've always had that belief because of things I saw happen to my mother. I've never said it, but that's how I've always felt and that's who I am. It came out naturally and it became a motto of the show.

How do you feel the other guys in the house treated you?

I love every single on the show. I got along with everybody. There was tension obviously between certain people in the house, but I think I built this great strong foundation of relationships with a bunch of the guys. I feel like we're going to be friends for life.

What do you think the fan perception is of you?

I try to stay away from the online stuff and the blogs and the media. At the end of the day I am who I am and if people have something to say, they're going to say it regardless. If they're going to give me negative attention or positive attention it's all the same to me.

What was going through your head as you were standing on that glacier with Ali and Justin. Did you think she was going to eliminate Justin instead?

You see a guy who you know is there for the wrong reasons in your heart, and she chooses him over you. It definitely wasn't fun, but I think at the end of the day she did it for her and she did it for me. In the long run, that's the best decision she made because she stopped the emotions, she stopped the feelings and it was not meant to be.

In the next episode, we find out that Justin had a girlfriend in Toronto during taping. What’s your reaction to that especially given you were eliminated in favor of him?

I didn't even know that. That's pretty intense. Wow. I knew he wasn't there for the right reasons. I think I actually even said it on the show that I wouldn't be surprised if he had a girlfriend back home. And sure enough, he's got a girlfriend. I think Ali obviously knows she made the wrong choice.

Is there a particular person in the house that you think is really right for Ali?

There's a lot of really great guys. In my personal opinion, I think Frank would be great for Ali. I think he's everything that she wanted.

Have you heard that Frank is one of the guys who allegedly had a girlfriend back home?

I don't know about Frank having a girlfriend. I know that Frank is a genuinely really good guy. I don't see Frank having a girlfriend like Justin, at all.

A lot of people think Ali doesn't pick anybody at the end. Do you think she's engaged right now?

I think Ali knows exactly what she wants. She knows what she wants and she will get it. If she found it with one of the guys, then she's definitely engaged.
