MILWAUKEE — Kenny Chesney, Norah Jones and Jason Mraz have been added to the 2010 Farm Aid lineup, organizers announced Wednesday.
Also joining the bill for the music festival's 25th anniversary are Jeff Tweedy, Band of Horses, The BoDeans, Amos Lee and Robert Francis.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Kenny Chesney continued his run with the top prize Wednesday night, taking home entertainer of the year for the fourth time in five years at the CMA Awards in Nashville.
"This is my fourth time standing up here and I'm really humbled by it," said Chesney, who tied George Strait for most career wins of the top CMA prize.
The evening was also a special one for the longtime star Strait, who won four times to become the CMA's all-time champ with 22 victories. Among Strait's wins were album of the year ("Troubadour") and song of the year ("I Saw God Today") as he surpassed Ronnie Dunn's 20 lifetime awards.
The show's two co-hosts, Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley, were also among the night's big winners. Underwood captured her third consecutive female vocalist of the year award, while Paisley won male vocalist for the second year in a row.
Other notable winners included the Rascal Flatts, who won their sixth straight vocal group of the year award, and Lady Antebellum, who took home best new artist honors.
The evening featured a number of notable live performances, included several performers from different genres taking the stage at Nashville's big night. Among those cross-over acts were The Eagles and Kid Rock, who was joined onstage by rapper Lil Wayne as he performed "All Summer Long."
