It’s been about three months since Teresa Giudice has been in prison, and needless to say, it hasn’t been an easy run for her, her husband Joe Giudice and their four daughters.
During a recent visit, the Giudice family posed for an Us Weekly photo — the first Teresa has taken since being behind bars, and it’s clear to see things have changed.
Dressed in a green prison jumpsuit with naturally short, curly hair and considerably less makeup than her usual days on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Teresa sits with her family, smiling despite the circumstances.
The reality star and her husband also open up in the new issue of the magazine, admitting how much the ordeal has affected their daughters — the youngest of which thinks Mom has been away for work the whole time — and how Joe has had to take on the role of “Mr. Mom.”
“I cry more than the girls,” he admits of saying goodbye to his wife at the end of their visits. “I pretty much cry every time I leave. Like a little baby.”
Joe — who was recently hit by speculation of infidelity — says Teresa has stayed strong for her family and makes sure they’re always taken care of.
“I miss Joe and my girls terribly,” she adds (through her lawyer).
