Charlie Sheen, Brooke Mueller, pictures, picture, photos, photo, pics, pic, images, image, hot, sexy, latest, newASPEN, Colo. — Charlie Sheen was formally charged Monday with felony menacing stemming from a Christmas Day incident in which he allegedly held a knife to his wife's throat during a holiday getaway.

The Two and a Half Men star also faces misdemeanor charges of third-degree assault and criminal mischief. Sheen, who did not enter a plea, is due back in court March 15.

Michael JacksonHOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Michael Jackson's doctor was formally charged Monday with involuntary manslaughter, nearly eight months after the King of Pop's death.

Dr. Conrad Murray pleaded not guilty to the charge against him as Jackson's parents and siblings looked on. He arrived at the brief hearing amid shouts of "murderer" from the circus-like crowd outside the Los Angeles courtroom.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Suing News of the World Over Breakup Story

LOS ANGELES — Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are suing a London newspaper that claimed they were headed for a breakup.

The couple's lawyer, Keith Schilling, confirmed Monday to the BBC that Pitt and Jolie have taken legal action against the News of the World. The lawsuit stems from a January story in which the paper claimed the couple had met with a divorce lawyer and reached an agreement over the dividing of their assets and custody of their six children.

Schilling called the "widely republished" allegations "false and intrusive." The attorney said the suit was filed after the News of the World failed to meet "reasonable demands" for an apology.

One of the most popular commercials during the Super Bowl XLIV broadcast was a promo for CBS' Late Show with David Letterman. The 15-second spot featured Leno and Letterman at a Super Bowl party with Oprah Winfrey sandwiched between the sparring late-night hosts.

"This is the worst Super Bowl party ever," Letterman says.

"Now, Dave, be nice," Oprah replies.

'Dear John' Dethrones 'Avatar' at Box Office

Dear JohnHOLLYWOOD, Calif. — It took a tear-jerker to finally knock off James Cameron's sci-fi mania at the box office.

Dear John, a love story starring Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried, debuted as the No. 1 movie over the weekend with $32.4 million in ticket sales, according to studio estimates released Sunday. The strong opening knocked Avatar from the top spot, a position Cameron's epic had held for seven straight weeks.

Dear John's total was also a record opening for Super Bowl weekend, topping the $31.1 million debut for 2008's Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert.

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. — Carrie Underwood was on center stage Sunday as she sang the National Anthem before Super Bowl XLIV.

The 26-year-old country star performed in a dazzling white pantsuit in front of the sold-out crowd at Sun Life Stadium in Miami.

Underwood joined an elite group of stars who have belted out the Super Bowl National Anthem, including Billy Joel, Diana Ross, Neil Diamond, Whitney Houston, Harry Connick, Jr., Garth Brooks, Natalie Cole, Vanessa Williams, Luther Vandross, Cher, Faith Hill, Mariah Carey, the Dixie Chicks, Beyoncé Knowles and fellow American Idol alum Jennifer Hudson.

Sparked by an onside kick to begin the second half, the New Orleans Saints marched to a 31-17 victory over the Indianapolis Colts in the NFL's title game.

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. — The Who, led by rock legends' Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey, hit the stage Sunday for the Super Bowl XLIV Halftime Show.

The British band kicked off their 12-minute performance at Miami's Sun Life Stadium with "Pinball Wizard." They followed with "Baba O'Riley," "Who Are You," "See Me Feel Me" and a fireworks-emblazoned finale of "Won't Get Fooled Again."

"It was amazing,'' lucky fan Amy Halvorsen, who was dancing in her seat, told the Miami Herald. "I grew up with The Who. The fact that they are able to perform at this level at this age, I'm thrilled."

After the game, The Who's brief set was made available for purchase on the video game Rock Band, allowing fans to play the part of arena rock star.
