Concertgoers at Sam Smith‘s show at Albert Hall in Manchester, England Thursday night were surprised when English crooner Ed Sheeran crashed the stage, joining the singer for a duet of his mega-hit, “Stay With Me.”

Smith later wrote about the impromptu collaboration on his Instragram, captioning a photo of the two onstage together, “So amazing to have this KING @teddysphotos on stage with me tonight. Such a wise and true friend to have. Love ya brother x.”
