Jessica Alba is back… and she wants you to know that she’s better than ever.
The actress, who is reprising her role as Nancy the stripper in Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, opens up about fighting off her own inner demons to become the woman she is today. Covering Maxim’s September 2014 issue in nothing but a tan bikini and wet white blouse, the mother-of-two tells the publication how she overcame some “personal” problems.

“I don’t want to talk about my issues. But I definitely feel like I tackled something and came out the other side,” she says, before adding that she won’t be specifying exactly what problems she faced. “Everything that led up to all this was worth it.”
“I’m really comfortable in my own skin, and I’m not apologizing for myself,” she continues.

Previously, the 33-year-old said that a lot of things have changed in her life since filming the first Sin City installment. Reflecting with British GQ, Alba explained that she is more open about stripping down for the cameras. (Okay, maybe not going completely nude though.)
“I feel much more grounded, much more comfortable, much more saucy. Then I was a girl, I was timid, I was afraid, I was so insecure and now I’m a woman and it’s different,” she said. “I’m more uninhibited.”
From the looks of her Maxim spread, she’s certainly not shy these days!
