HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Robert Buckley is hoping to fill some big shoes.

The 28-year-old actor has joined the cast of "One Tree Hill," according to The Hollywood Reporter. Buckley has a brief history with the network, having also appeared on the fellow CW series "Privileged."

The "Lipstick Jungle" alum joins the CW series during a major transition time, with the recent departures of original cast members Chad Michael Murray and Hilarie Burton.

Buckley will portray a sports agent named Clayton, who represents Nathan Scott (James Lafferty) and eventually becomes a close friend of his client.

Former "Beverly Hills, 90210" star Brian Austin Green was initially targeted for the role, but the two sides were unable to strike a deal.

At least two more cast additions are expected to be announced in the near future.

Buckley starred as photographer Kirby Atwood on NBC's "Lipstick Jungle, which was canceled in March after two seasons.
