PARIS — Angelina Jolie has checked into a hospital in the south of France as she prepares for the arrival of her baby twins, the Associated Press reports.

A hospital spokesperson at Lenval Hospital in Nice said Jolie's admittance has been planned for some time.

"[She] is fine," Nadine Bauer told AP. "Everything is going well."

The 33-year-old actress is expected to remain hospitalized until the birth, which is not expected immediately.

The babies will be the fifth and sixth children for Jolie and her beau, 44-year-old actor Brad Pitt. The superstar couple is already proud parents to Maddox, 6, Pax, 4, Zahara, 3, and Shiloh, 2.

"Unlike most women, I love being pregnant," Jolie told the "Today Show" in May. "[It makes] you feel more like a woman than you've ever felt. You just feel like everything about your body is there for your baby."
