LOS ANGELES – Angelina Jolie took two of her daughters to get their ears pierced.
The 'Salt' actress accompanied Zahara, six, and Shiloh, five - two of her six children with partner Brad Pitt - to a small salon in London to have the beauty treatment, but Shiloh decided against the process at the last minute after her eldest sister cried because of the pain.

LOS ANGELES – Angelina Jolie took her son Maddox flying with her today.
The 'Changeling' actress treated her ten-year-old adopted child to a trip up in the air with her as she flew a small plane from Blackbushe Airport in Surrey, Southern England.
Dressed in a black jacket and aviator sunglasses Angelina certainly looked the part as she got into the cockpit with an instructor, while Maddox rode in the back seat.

LOS ANGELES – Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's children are "putting on the heat" for them to get married.
The Hollywood couple have been together since 2005 and raise six children - Maddox, 10, Pax, seven, Zahara, six, Shiloh, five, and three-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne – who Brad admits are keen for them to tie the knot.

LOS ANGELES – Brad Pitt thinks he and Angelina Jolie should do "everything" together.
The couple currently have a policy that only one of them works at a given time, so the other can focus on their six children, but the actor thinks they would have more time as a complete family if they did more movies together.

ALTINOZU, Turkey – U.N. envoy Angelina Jolie traveled to Turkey's border with Syria on Friday to meet some of the thousands of Syrian refugees who have fled their government's bloody crackdown on dissent.
The Hollywood celebrity and goodwill ambassador for the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees arrived in the Turkish province of Hatay on a private jet with boxes of toys for the refugee camps.
There are nearly 10,000 Syrian refugees in camps inside Turkey.

ISTANBUL – Turkey says Angelina Jolie can visit Syrian refugees who have fled violence and are camped out on the Turkish side of the border.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Selcuk Unal said Wednesday the Hollywood celebrity and goodwill ambassador for the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees might arrive in Turkey on Friday, but that the date remains uncertain.
Unal said Turkey granted permission to visit after assessing an application submitted on Jolie's behalf.

JOPLIN, Mo. – Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are donating $500,000 from their foundation to help Joplin rebuild from the deadly tornado that struck the southwest Missouri town last month.
The Community Foundation of the Ozarks says the gift from the Jolie-Pitt Foundation will go to mid- and long-term needs in the tornado-ravaged city. The Community Foundation announced the gift Friday in a news release.

LOS ANGELES – With its themes of adoption and family, "Kung Fu Panda 2" was a big hit in the Jolie-Pitt household - and not just because Angelia Jolie is one of the stars of the animated film.
Jolie says her kids connected to the story of Jolie's character, Tigress, who is shown in an orphanage.

CANNES, France – Angelina Jolie's directorial debut has picked up a U.S. distributor.
Her Bosnian War film "In the Land of Blood and Honey" will be released Dec. 23 by FilmDistrict, a subsidiary of GK Films. Announcing the acquisition Sunday at the Cannes Film Festival, GK Films founder Graham King said Jolie's debut "signals the arrival of a visceral and compelling storyteller."
The film features a completely local Bosnian cast, most of whom were children during the 1990s war.

CANNES, France – Animals of many sorts mix it up in "Kung Fu Panda 2," yet for all the fighting, voice stars Jack Black and Angelina Jolie said the animated sequel carries a message of nonviolence.
At the Cannes Film Festival, where Black, Jolie and co-star Dustin Hoffman turned up to promote the movie, the stars said Thursday that their tale about a tubby panda, a fierce tiger and their interspecies band of warriors can teach kids about respect and restraint, as well as strength.
