HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Jennifer Lopez will soon make a pit stop at MacLaren's Bar.

The 40-year-old Lopez will guest star on an upcoming episode of CBS' How I Met Your Mother, the network revealed Wednesday.

Lopez will play Anita Appleby, a no-nonsense author of self-help books that teach women how to train men into relationship machines through the power of denial. When Robin (Cobie Smulders) tells Anita how Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) acts toward women, she makes it her mission to "break" him. The episode will air in March.

"We couldn't be more excited about Jennifer Lopez joining us on How I Met Your Mother," said executive producer and co-creator Carter Bays. "We're looking forward to a week of revealing outfits and sexy dance moves the likes of which this show hasn't seen since Regis Philbin guest starred."

Lopez is the latest high-profile star to make an appearance on the hit series, joining the likes of Britney Spears, Rachel Bilson and more recently, Carrie Underwood.

The "Louboutins" singer is also reportedly in talks to guest star on Fox's hit musical series Glee.
