HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Police in Aspen, Colo. have released the 911 call made by Charlie Sheen's wife, Brooke Mueller, during a domestic dispute on Christmas Day.
On the call, Mueller, 32, tells the dispatcher that Sheen, 44, is threatening her with a knife.
"My husband had me with a knife," she says. "I was scared for my life and he threatened me."
Mueller, who describes the knife as a "switchblade," also tells the dispatcher that the couple isn't alone.
"I have people here," Mueller says on the 911 call. "My family is here, but if I don't file this right now ... he's in the other room.
"He's trying to leave right now," she says later. "He's trying to sneak out the back."
Sheen was arrested and charged with second-degree assault and menacing, both felonies, along with criminal mischief, a misdemeanor. The actor was released several hours later after posting $8,500 bond. He is due in court on Feb. 8, 2010.
Sheen and Mueller tied the knot in May 2008 at a private estate in Los Angeles. They welcomed their first children, twin boys, in March.
