Cuteness overload alert!
It was a family affair this weekend as Snooki baptized her six-month-old daughter, Giovanna LaValle. Choosing to celebrate the milestone at the same church where she got married, the Jersey Shore alum was joined by close friends and family — including BFF JWoww and husband Jionni LaValle — for the special occasion.
According to Snooki, she opted for a small guest list after admittedly inviting everyone she knew for son Lorenzo‘s baptism. She explained on her blog:
With the first one with Lorenzo, it was like a wedding ceremony. It was huge, I invited everybody. It was a nice and fun thing but for the second kid, you don’t have to go that big because you want to do things a little bit smaller. By the third kid it’s like alright let’s just have pizza at the house. With Giovanna we still are having a reception right after but it’s with immediate family and that’s it.
Snooki, 27, also added that the dress Giovanna had on to the baptism was the same Christening gown she wore as a child, but with her wedding veil sewn onto it. Snooki later changed her daughter into a powder blue dress for the reception.
“My mom saved the Christening dress that I wore and she’s going to be wearing that but I added my wedding veil to it. It’s very symbolic and beautiful and I can’t wait to see the dress on her,” she wrote.
Though the mom-of-two previously swore she would not publicly post photos of her kids, Giovanna’s godmother, Snooki’s pal Stephanie Grenier, did manage to snap and share a few pictures from the big day.
