For the first time in the chart’s seven-week history, a song reigns over Billboard’s Top Triller U.S. chart for more than one week, as Saweetie’s “Tap In” rules the Aug. 29-dated tally.
The Top Triller U.S. and Top Triller Global charts highlight the biggest songs on Triller based on a formula blending the amount of views of videos containing a respective songs, the level of engagement with those videos and the raw total of videos uploaded featuring each song, according to Triller. Data for the charts is represented on a Friday-Thursday tracking week, with the latest period running Aug. 14-20.
“Tap In” rules for a second straight week at No. 1 after rising to the top on the tally dated Aug. 22.
Like the previous week, the top upload of the week for the song on Triller came courtesy of Loren Gray. It also scores a second week atop the Top Triller Global list.
Concurrently, “Tap In” reaches a new peak on the multi-metric Billboard Hot 100, jumping 44-41. The song scores a 2% boost in U.S. streams, 8.8 million in all, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.
The week’s highest debut on Top Triller U.S., meanwhile, belongs to Miley Cyrus’ “Midnight Sky,” which bows at No. 3. Cyrus herself uploaded the top clip of the song on Triller, an Aug. 14 video that has earned 4.8 million plays there, according to Triller.
Initially released Aug. 14, the song became Cyrus’ 50th entry on the Hot 100, starting at No. 14.
