Just three months after officially filing for divorce from Mariah Carey, it looks like Nick Cannon has officially moved on, finding happiness in dating model Jessica White.
A source tells E! News Cannon and White are “going really strong,” spending lots of time together after first being romantically linked earlier this month.
“Jessica is completely smitten over Nick between his personality and good looks,” the source continues. “She has been telling her close friends he makes her feel like she is on cloud nine and so loved. Nick is very affectionate to her when they are with each other.”
However, White also understands Cannon’s dedication to his two children, and in the wake of his divorce from Carey — which has not yet been finalized — is fine maintaining a low profile.
“Jessica really accepts all that he is and really admires him through this hard time that’s going on with his family,” the insider notes, “She also loves how involved he always wants to be with his kids. She hopes one day to have children of her own. They are taking things slow and really getting to know each other at this time.”
Cannon has always said his family will come first, despite the circumstances surrounding his divorce. He confirmed his separation from Carey in Dec. 2014 on Good Morning America and said, “We’ll forever be family. At the same time, we’re there for our children, making them the No. 1 priority and understanding they’re loved and can have an amazing holiday.”
