It’s only been a few months since Jordin Sparks and Jason Derulo‘s breakup went very public, but it appears the 25-year-old songstress is moving on in her life just fine.
However, does that mean she’s ready to look for love again?
Not so fast.
Sparks opened up to People magazine and confessed she’s really just into herself right now and is in no rush to hop back into the dating world.
“I’m not ready to deal with all that,” she tells the magazine. “I don’t have time for distractions or people who are going to waste my time. But I’m in a really good place. Mentally, physically, spiritually – I’m in the best place I’ve been in years!”
Okay, but when she’s ready is she going to use online dating apps like Tindr or OKCupid?
“Oh my gosh, never in a million years!” she says. “If you see a profile on there, it’s not me.”
Although she’s ruled out those sites, she does think social media can land her a date or two when she finally decides to start looking for romance again.
“I’m a big football fan, so if I Tweet about a football player, everybody assumes we’re dating!,” Sparks says. “I guess for somebody in my position, something like Twitter is kind of like an online dating site. Not that I’m doing that! But when it comes, I could try it.”
As for Jordin’s “type” in men, she’s really open to everything!
“As long as you’re a good man who respects me, it doesn’t take much,’ she says, adding, “I’m pretty much equal-opportunity: black, white, brown, yellow, I don’t care. As long as you’ve got a good job, it really doesn’t matter what you do. You can do construction, you can play sports, you can be a musician.”
Meanwhile, Sparks recently addresses writing a song about her ex Derulo, admitting she wanted her fans to hear her side of the story and how she was feeling post-split.
