It’s a sad day for fans of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo… And for anyone who’s ever believed in love.
Mama June and Sugar Bear Thompson have decided to split after over 10 years together.
“Sugar Bear and I have decided to take some time apart to figure out some things in our relationship,” Mama June said in a statement. “We are taking things day by day, but regardless of what happens, the girls will always be our number one priority. We want to thank y’all for your support.”
Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson‘s parents exchanged vows in May during a commitment ceremony for an episode of their reality TV series (they never actually got married).
During the special episode, June said, “Never settle for a man who doesn’t treat you right. If a guy doesn’t love everything about you, move on! There are plenty of other fish in the sea.”
Ironically, the reason for their split ended up being because of the dating website plentyoffish.com. Mama June reportedly discovered that Sugar Bear had created a profile on the dating website (as well as several others) looking for other women and stating his marital status as “single.”
Mama June plans to take all of her daughters, including Honey Boo Boo, and leave the house they shared with Sugar Bear.
