Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom welcomed their daughter Daisy Dove Bloom on Wednesday (Aug. 26) and her name couldn’t be prettier or more fitting for the “Daisies” singer’s first kid.
Their little one joins a pack of uniquely named celebrity babies, but only one of them ran into trouble with the state of California. Grimes and Tesla/Space X CEO Elon Musk couldn’t quite keep the original headline-making name of their first son, X Æ A-12, because California law dictates only the 26 letters of the English language can be used in a baby’s name. So to follow the rules, the singer announced they changed his name to X Æ A-Xii. Its meaning? See her explainer tweet below.
But some names, like Daisy’s, fit like two peas in a pod with their famous mom’s. Iggy Azalea posted an adorable audio clip of her baby boy cooing on Instagram titled “Amethyst & Onyx,” tying in her real name Amethyst Amelia Kelly with her son’s. Some might say Ciara and Russell Wilson have a “Win”-ner on their hands for this Billboard poll, with their second joint child’s victorious title.
