Adele’s son: one. The paparazzi: zero.
Actually, make that “one” a five-figure sum. The Associated Press is reporting that the British singer’s baby boy has won a case against Corbis Images UK after the photo agency photographed private family moments and published worldwide.
Adele, who is a public figure and recognizes her public profile, refuses to have one-year-old son Angelo be recognized as “public property,” according to her lawyer Jenny Afia.
The lawyer also issued the following statement:
“It is a matter of profound sadness that many of his milestone moments, such as his first family outing and his first trip to the playgroup, were photographed and published worldwide expressly against his family’s wishes.”
The settlement with Corbis Images UK will be held in a trust for little Angelo. The photo agency has singe agreed not to use the photos again.
Adele and her boyfriend Simon Konecki welcomed Angelo, their first child together, in October 2012. The pair have been together for more than two years.
