HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Brittani Senser is dismissing rumors that shooting her steamy "After Love" music video with Levi Johnston led to his broken engagement to Bristol Palin.
"Whatever the reason Levi and Bristol broke up, it has nothing to do with the video," the 26-year-old singer tells Celebuzz of the clip, which premiered Monday. "The video hadn't been shot when [Bristol] thought it already had been. I feel bad if anybody feels like that was the reason."
Palin has previously said that Johnston lied to her when he shot the video.
"He told me [his trip to L.A.] was to see some hunting show," Palin told People back in August, "but come to find out it was that music video mocking my family."
Both Senser and the video's director, Evan Winter, insist "After Love" isn't poking fun at the Palin family.
"I don't think the video's even really about the Palins," Winter told the gossip site. "It was a starting point and we tried to create something more universal about a mom protecting her daughter."
As for rumors that Senser and Johnston developed an off-camera romance, the up-and-coming singer said, "Levi and I are not dating. We are friends. I really enjoy his company, he's a nice guy, I really enjoyed working with him. But as far as a relationship, no, we're not dating.
