HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Sean Penn is calling it quits again with his wife, actress Robin Wright Penn.
The 48-year-old actor has filed for a legal separation, according to Extra.
Penn previously filed for divorce in December 2007, but the couple later reconciled and stopped divorce proceedings in April 2008.
The "Milk" star and his 43-year-old wife have two children together - Dylan Frances, 18, and Hopper Jack, 15.
In February, the pair attended the Academy Awards, where Penn won his second best actor Oscar for his role as gay rights activist Harvey Milk. During his acceptance speech, he noticeably failed to thank his wife, which he later explained during an appearance on the "Oprah Winfrey Show."
"I wanted to keep things focused on the professional team around this movie," he told the host. "Because with Robin comes my mother and my son and my daughter, and half of them will punish me if I mention them."
