LOS ANGELES – Robert Pattinson is recording an album.
The 'Twilight' actor originally considered becoming a musician and is making the most of a break in his schedule by heading to the studio to record his first full-length record.
A source told UsWeekly.com: "Music is his first love! He's tortured because he avoids it. When he's sitting around jamming in the studio, it's his favorite moment of life."
HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — There's more to Robert Pattinson than just being a vampire.
The 23-year-old actor has another project in the works for Summit Entertainment, the studio behind the hit Twilight franchise.
In Remember Me, Pattinson and Emilie de Ravin portray a pair of star-crossed lovers who meet and fall in love while struggling to deal with family tragedies that threaten their relationship. Pierce Brosnan will play Pattinson's father in the film, which also stars Lena Olin and Chris Cooper.
NEW YORK — Robert Pattinson says it's all true. Every single bit of tabloid information that you've ever read about the Twilight star is fact and not fiction, he insists.
One by one, Pattinson answered to all the juicy rumors about him during a game of true-or-false with Matt Lauer on Thursday's Today Show.
"You've been dating nonstop," Lauer began.
"Literally nonstop, yes," replied the 23-year-old British hunk with a serious face.
"You're dating your co-star: Her name rhymes with 'Tristan Blewart,' " asked Lauer.
LOS ANGELES — Robert Pattinson says ripping his shirt off for New Moon during a scene filmed in Italy was more than awkward to say the least.
"I felt pretty goofy stepping out into the sunlight in front of 2,000 people in a town square, ripping my clothes off," the 23-year-old actor tells Parade magazine. "I was essentially doing a striptease."
While going shirtless in public was a tad bit embarrassing, Pattinson says it was worth it considering so many Twilighters had descended into the area to be part of the film.
"It was one of the moments where I've really felt closest to people's emotional attachment to Edward," he says. "There were so many extras in that scene who were Twilight fans who had flown in just to be a part of it. It was a moment where I've felt the whole weight of anticipation, and I guess responsibility as well, of being Edward, for all the people who were kind of so obsessed with the stories. It was quite uplifting and it was also very nerve-wracking."
Pattinson says stripping down for the film was also a challenge considering the body transformation co-star Taylor Lautner underwent for the sequel.
"I didn't see Taylor until just a little bit before we started shooting," Pattinson says. "I had the same reaction as everybody else. It's like, 'Jeez, now I have to go to the gym.' Looking at Taylor's martial arts videos from when he was nine, I wouldn't really want to fight him for real unless maybe I had some kind of weapon. But in the story as it's written, I think it's actually a fact that Edward would win over Jacob. So I guess I can hold onto that for my ego."

LOS ANGELES — Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson have a hard time agreeing on a lot of things, including which one of them is the most romantic.
"I have a no-bulls--- detector, so I'd have to say Rob is," Stewart tells Harper's Bazaar for the magazine's December cover story. "I think romance is anything honest. As long as it's honest, it's so disarming."
When told Stewart had pegged him as the more romantic of the two, Pattinson responds: "No. I'm better at faking."
The Twilight pair also draws a line in the sand when it comes to choosing which has the bigger ego.
"I'd have to say him," Stewart says. "I hope he says him too actually. Like every time he looks in the mirror and he twists his hair. Actually, he could give a f--- about his hair. I hope that sarcasm translates."
"It's kind of a tie," Pattinson responds. "We're both pretty proud people. Her ego is more solid than mine, but mine has soared to such peaks, it's ridiculous. Mine's more erratic, but it can get to a point when it's, like, godlike. Only in my eyes, of course. Sometimes just when I say hello the right way, I'm like, Whoa, I'm so cool."
But Stewart and Pattinson don't always disagree. For instance, both share the same conclusion that Stewart is the far more athletic one of the two.
"Rob can barely jump rope," Stewart says. "I call him Flippy because when he does his stunt rehearsals, he flips around [makes a gesture like a penguin]. And, God, when he tries to run ..."
While she believes his athletic skills are lacking, Stewart does call Pattinson "a great singer. Heartbreaking." He also had some kind words to say in return about his co-star.
"She's a unique girl," he says. "You really don't meet many people like Kristen."
LOS ANGELES — Robert Pattinson may have gotten cozy with Kristen Stewart over the weekend, but the British actor insists that he's completely single.
"I don't have a girlfriend," the 23-year-old star told Britain's Daily Mirror just days before the "Twilight" co-stars were photographed together at a Kings of Leon concert in Vancouver, Canada. "I don't know why."
The two stars were also nearly inseparable as they dined on sushi Saturday night with their fellow cast and crew members from the "Twilight" sequel "Eclipse" at the Japanese restaurant Miku. However, Pattinson claims his dating life hasn't kicked into high gear as much as he thought it would.
"You always think you're going to get more girls after you've made a movie and it never happens," he tells the Mirror. "You sit there and you're like, 'I'm a big movie star and I want to go out with some models,' but I don't know why that doesn't happen."
Pattinson, who says he doesn't really "have a type," calls the dating scene in Los Angeles a bit of a challenge.
"Most of the women there are actresses and by default that makes them a little bit nuts — not that that's a bad thing," he says. "Whenever I get asked who my favorite celebrity crush is, I have no idea."
When it comes to the mob scenes that surround him in public, Pattinson admits that he's always felt "uncomfortable in crowds."
"Most of the girls are all pretty young, so it's just kind of funny. But then you get the 'Twilight' Mums who love you like mums! And you can take that too far. I mean, it could be 'Edward breaks up 'Twilight' family.' "
Pattinson says he always tries to accomodate his fans, but sometimes their requests go a little too far, such as when they ask him to bite their neck.
"I have to tell them: 'Look, I can't I'm afraid, because it will hurt,' " he says with a laugh.
The former child model says he originally had his sights set on a political career, until he landed a role in another blockbuster franchise, "Harry Potter." Still, his initial casting in "Twilight" wasn't originally well-received by fans of the book series, who complained he wasn't sexy enough.
"I always looked like a girl up until a few years ago, and because I never did any sports or anything I was always kind of gangly," he says. "I was never really a good model. I was terrible at it. I wasn't skinny enough to be a little waif and I didn't want to work out to be a beefy guy, so I was always stuck between two things and so I never got any jobs."
