LONDON — Apparently it's best to never mention Kate Moss and orgy in the same sentence.
The supermodel is pursuing legal against the British tabloid News of the World for stating that she engaged in an orgy, her rep tells Usmagazine.com.
The model is said to be incensed over "false and defamatory allegations in the newspaper relating to her 34th birthday celebrations," her rep tells Us.
On Sunday, News of the World "reported" that Moss, two women, and one male "were kissing and caressing one another and four or five other people were in the [Dorchester Hotel] room watching."
A close friend of the model tells Us: "She's spitting mad over the News of the World story. Not only were their lies hurtful, but they're also not at all true. She's a mum and doesn't want these kind of lies written about her."
A rep at Moss' agency, Storm, confirmed to Us that legal action is planned.
Moss invited a host of celebrities, including Kelly Osbourne, Rolling Stones icon Ronnie Wood, Jamiroquai singer Jay Kay and boyfriend Jamie Hince of The Kills, to her 34th birthday party last Wednesday, which she planned to spread out over 34 hours — one for every year of her life.
However, Moss, who kicked off her marathon session at London's Dorchester Hotel at 2:30 p.m., only made it to the 18-hour mark before calling it a night.
