Taylor Swift and John Fogerty arrive on the red carpet at the 58th Annual BMI Pop Awards held at the Beverly Wilshire hotel on May 18, 2010 in Beverly Hills, California.
The songwriters and publishers of the most performed pop songs on U.S. radio and television for the past 12 months are honored at this private event presented by U.S. performing rights organization BMI. The BMI Icon Award was presented to John Fogerty after a live, musical tribute. Other awards handed out included the Pop Song of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Publisher of the Year, as well as the presentation of the John Lennon Scholarship winner. The event was hosted by Del R. Bryant, President & CEO of BMI, and Barbara Cane, Vice President & General Manager, Writer/Publisher Relations, Los Angeles.
