Natalie Portman‘s Jane Foster shared a very lovely smooch with Chris Hemsworth‘s Thor in The Dark World sequel, but there’s a secret behind that scene.
It turns out that the woman kissing Hemsworth was his wife, Elsa Pataky. Production put a wig on the Spanish-born actress and – tah dah! – romance.
“It was for reshoots (after the film was finished) and he was working in Hong Kong and I couldn’t get there because I was working on my own film,” Portman told New York Daily News.
“And so they put his wife in my wig and costume, that’s why it was so passionate.”
Hemsworth and Pataky are expecting their second child together. They have a daughter, India, who was born in May 2012.
