Megan Fox Biography

Megan Fox

Name: Megan Fox
Profession: Actress
Birth Date: May 16, 1986
Height: 5' 6"

Megan Fox was born in Tennessee on May 16, 1986. She began her training in drama and dance at the age of five. At the age of 10, her family moved to Florida, where she continued her training and finished school.

By age 13, Fox's dancing led to several modeling opportunities and she began to excel. In 1999, she won several awards at the American Modeling and Talent Convention in Hilton Head, South Carolina. Armed with her newfound success, Fox began venturing more into acting and soon relocated to Los Angeles. She made her acting debut in 2001, appearing in the straight-to-video release "Holiday in the Sun," a Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen film in which she played the spoiled heiress and rival of Ashley Olsen.

In 2002, Fox garnered a recurring role on the soap opera "Ocean Ave." She then appeared in an episode of the Amanda Bynes series "What I Like About You" in 2003.

Her breakout role came the following year when she appeared alongside Lindsay Lohan in "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen." Also in 2004, she appeared on the CBS comedy "Two and a Half Men," the short-lived TV series "The Help," and the TV movie "Crimes of Fashion" before being cast in her first regular role in a TV series, the Kelly Ripa-led sitcom "Hope & Faith," where she appeared until 2006.

As Hollywood began to take notice, Megan started joining the ranks of her fellow female actresses by posing in photo spreads, like her 2005 shoot for FHM. The following year, the magazine named her No. 68 on their 100 Sexiest Women of 2006 list. And in 2007, she continued her lasting relationship with the magazine for another spread in their March issue. Fox also posed for the July 2007 issues of GQ and Maxim.

Megan's biggest break, however, came when she was cast as the lead actress in the highly-anticipated Michael Bay film "Transformers," in which she played Shia LaBeouf's love interest.

Fox has one older sister and is currently engaged to Brian Austin Green. She has a passion for green tea ice blended drinks and rock music. She especially loves the bands Nirvana, Van Halen and Def Leppard.
