When you’re a 6-ft.-4-in., ridiculously good-looking quarterback with a supermodel wife and a couple major modeling contracts, you might expect some locker room teasing from your teammates. But New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has figured out the secret to keeping the mocking to a minimum: He gifts the whole team with comfy shoes.

“It’s definitely still a little surreal,” Brady tells PeopleStyle of seeing himself on larger-than-life billboards for Ugg boots. “I’d drive into work everyday, I would get on the Mass Pike and I’d look up and — ‘Wow.’ ”
But if anyone else has comments, they keep them to themselves to ensure their shoe shipments come in. “[My teammates] are the biggest beneficiaries [of my modeling contract]! Every year they’re getting four or five pairs — the boots and the Ascot [slippers],” he says. “We’ll go out to practice on the grass and they’re all wearing their Ascots out on the [field] And I’m like ‘Guys! These are, like, for your house!’ ”
He’s got gifting on the brain at the moment, since his family and wife Gisele Bündchen’s family are all in town to celebrate the holidays with his kids. And while things are a little chaotic around the holidays (“There is a lot of commotion, but … you learn to deal with that”) he says children Benjamin, John and Vivian give him the greatest gifts daily, no wrapping or tree required.
“Every day there is something that either say or do. When you see your kids happy or you see them learning something new … I think there are just so many gifts,” he says. “They are the best part of your life … We’re just very, very blessed.”
Of course, growing up, Brady had a very different take on the dream Christmas gift. “I always wanted a BB gun when I was a boy. Oh my God, I begged my parents for years until I was old enough to get it,” he says. “I just always remember being in my backyard with my BB gun shooting little tin cans.”

As far as holiday traditions go, Brady swears there are some classic treats even an elite athlete and the world’s top-paid supermodel can’t pass up. “My grandma always had a biscuit recipe that she used to make for us. So every holiday — Thanksgiving, Easter, Christmas — there is biscuit making,” he says. “When my grandma passed away, now I’m kind of the designated biscuit maker using her recipe. They certainly don’t taste as good as what she used to make but I still kind of enjoy doing it. That’s a little bit of tradition in our house now.”

White or colored lights? “I like colored lights.”
What’s the best Christmas cookie? (Really thinks about it) “Oh man. I guess everyone makes gingerbread, but I don’t like gingerbread. So I guess like chocolate chips? Something delicious like that.”
What [Christmas] song will you always turn off the radio when it comes on? “I never turn off the radio when Christmas songs come on!”
What’s your favorite, then? “I guess Rudolph would be my favorite.”
Cookies or carrots for Santa? “Cookies, definitely. Santa loooves cookies.”
