What does one of the greatest athletes of all time do after proving her superlative skills on the court yet again, winning her seventh Wimbledon and 22nd Grand Slam title? Why, if that’s not a reason to celebrate, we don’t know what is. And Serena Williams did just that on Sunday night, ditching the tennis whites in favor of some glittering evening apparel that proved whether on the courts or off, Serena is always number one.
The day after her rousing victory against Angelique Kerber, the tennis phenomenon attended the Champions’ Dinner at Guildhal in London, changing out of the athletic apparel and into a glam evening look fit for a (tennis) queen. For the dinner, Serena wore a floor-length gown with a rhinestone and sequin-encrusted, halter top bodice with a keyhole cutout and a flowing red skirt.

The tennis pro paired her black tie ensemble with a tousled waist-length blowout, flat t-strap sandals to give her hardworking feet a much-deserved break, and a practical watch because this powerhouse has got places to be.

Whether its sweeping every tennis competition she enters, dazzling on the red carpet, or taking a short break to twerk in Beyoncé’s music video, it seems Serena always has one more surprise up her sleeve. And since she’s already accomplished all the things most people only dream of doing by the age of 34, what could the tennis star possibly do next? Well, if Kanye can run for president in 2020, why can’t Serena? Just putting it out there.
