NEW YORK – Will Ferrell is trapped.

Dressed sharply in a grey suit, he's trailed by a team of publicists and makeup artists. But the parade stalls as soon as it reaches a narrow hotel hallway. Around the corner comes a call to hurry up, already.

"An orchid fell over and we were trapped for like half-a-second," says Ferrell, beaming from his excuse and immediately cracking up everyone within earshot.

Ferrell culminated a weeks-long lead-up to Monday's episode of "Conan" by shaving the late-night host's beard. A giddy and determined Ferrell guest-starred on the program, promoted as the "Beardpocalypse."

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Forget about Will Ferrell jumping off Team Coco anytime soon.

The 42-year-old funnyman says his late-night loyalty remains with close pal Conan O'Brien, whose brief Tonight Show run ended last month.

"My vote's with Conan," Ferrell said Friday during an interview on Omaha's "Todd N Tyler Radio Empire" morning show.

So what will Ferrell do if Jay Leno asks him to be a guest when he assumes the Tonight Show reigns again?

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Another male comedian is on the way in Will Ferrell's family.

The former "Saturday Night Live" star's wife, auctioneer Viveca Paulin, is pregnant with the couple's third child, a boy, the funnyman's rep tells People.

Ferrell, 42, and Paulin, 40, are already parents to sons Magnus, 5, and Mattias, 2.

Their newest arrival is said to be due in January.
