HOLLYWOOD, Calif. —  Will Ferrell and his wife, Viveca Paulin, have welcomed their third son.

The couple's new baby boy was born Saturday morning in Los Angeles, the funnyman's rep confirmed Wednesday to People.

Son Axel Ferrell arrived just hours after the former Saturday Night Live star performed "Free Bird" on the final Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien.

The new arrival joins older brothers Magnus, 5 ½, and Mattias, 3.

Ferrell, 42, and Paulin, 40, announced the pregnancy in September.

The longtime couple met during an acting class in 1995 and married five years later.

"If you're flying with your children, it's better to book them on the same flight as you and not on a separate one, just so they can have more legroom or something," Ferrell once joked about parenthood in an interview with Parade magazine.
