HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Susan Boyle, eat your heart out.

A new ageless sensation has emerged in the form of 62-year-old General Larry Platt, who captivated American Idol viewers Wednesday night with his performance of "Pants on the Ground."

Platt and his song about low-riding pants have since gone viral, with remixes popping up all over the Web.

"Pants on the ground, pants on the ground, lookin' like a fool with your pants on the ground," go the veteran's lyrics. "With the gold in your mouth, hat turned sideway, pants hit the ground / Call yourself a cool cat, looking like a fool, walkin' downtown with your pants on the ground!"

"I have a horrible feeling that song could be a hit," admitted judge Simon Cowell.

While Platt's song may be the biggest hit of the season, he missed the cut since he is well over the show's 28-year age limit.
