During Pelley's first week, the "CBS Evening News" devoted less than a third of the time to the sexting episode that has put the New York Democrat's political career in jeopardy than either NBC's "Nightly News" or ABC's "World News."

McCarthy and Jackson will be up at 5:40 a.m. Pacific time to join John Shaffner, chairman of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, to make the announcements in Los Angeles, the Academy said Wednesday.

The admitted obsessive-compulsive star of "Flipping Out" told The Associated Press two employees on the Bravo show will get fired in the fifth season, which premiers July 6.

One staff firing was expected but the other is a surprise. Lewis, who used to flip houses, says the second dismissal "kind of cuts and hurts." He would not disclose the person's name.

"You know, this is the question of the hour. I don't know, I don't know," Lopez said Tuesday in an interview with Scott Mills of the BBC.

Lopez and another new judge, Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler, brought a gentler attitude to the top-rated show following the departure of Simon Cowell.

Bravo: No Merit to 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' Lawsuit

The cable television channel issued a statement Tuesday night saying that $25,000 settlements negotiated by Adolfo Arreola and his cousin, Jason Gomez, "will be enforced and these claims are completely without merit." Bravo isn't commenting on the specifics of the lawsuit.

A police report says 25-year-old Jessica Candage of Yarmouth was spotted Sunday evening by a Portland officer who said it appeared she was preventing her husband from walking toward him. The officer then saw Candage punch her husband, Craig, in the face several times.

Lawsuit: 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' Cast Attacked Us

Yolanda Martinez and some of her relatives filed a lawsuit Monday in New York. They say Teresa Guidice from the "Bravo series" sprayed Champagne in Martinez' face, and then Guidice and others on the show beat up Martinez' son-in-law and his cousin Feb. 23 in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

Jessica Simpson Joins NBC's 'Fashion Star'
