"If I could do that all day long, you don't have to pay me," Diaz says of doing her own stunts.

Tom Cruise Back Home for 'Mission Impossible 4' Movie

LOS ANGELES — Who says you can't go home again?

Tom Cruise will reprise his role as secret agent Ethan Hunt in Mission Impossible 4, according to Deadline Hollywood's Mike Fleming.

The 47-year-old Cruise will also produce the film with J.J. Abrams. A search for a director is currently underway, but Josh Applebaum and Andre Nemec have signed on to write the script.

Shooting on the franchise reboot is expected to begin by summer for a Memorial Day 2011 release.

"Tom and J.J. are great talents and we are excited to be working with them to relaunch this legendary franchise," Paramount chairman and CEO Brad Grey said in a statement Tuesday.

The announcement comes after Cruise's infamous falling out with Paramount Studios after the third film in the series was released in 2006. Viacom Chairman Sumner Redstone said his company's movie studio was severing ties with Cruise after 14 years because of what he described as "erratic behavior" by the star.

By 2008, Cruise and Redstone were on their way to patching up their differences after enjoying lunch together in Beverly Hills.

Cruise next stars as an international spy in Knight and Day, which hits theaters in July.

Tom Cruise Sued for Spying, Illegal Wiretapping

LOS ANGELES — Tom Cruise is being sued by a longtime nemesis who accuses the actor of being part of a spy gang.

In a lawsuit filed Friday in Los Angeles, Michael Davis Sapir claims he was spied on by Cruise and his attorney Bert Fields, with the help of jailed private investigator Anthony Pellicano, according to TMZ.

The legal tussle dates back to a $100 million lawsuit Cruise filed against Sapir in 2001. In that case, Cruise sued Sapir after he claimed to have footage of the Top Gun star engaging in some same-sex action. The case was settled several months later for an undisclosed amount, with both parties stating that the footage never existed.

But now Sapir is claiming that Cruise and company wiretapped his phone while the 2001 lawsuit was ongoing.

The former Bold magazine editor is seeking at least $500 million in damages.

When reached by the celebrity gossip site, Cruise's attorney said the charges were without merit.

"The allegations are absolute garbage," said Fields. "We did not even hire Pellicano to work on the Sapir case."

NEW YORK — Tom Cruise continued his run of poking fun of himself during his appearance on Tuesday night's "Late Show with David Letterman."

The 46-year-old actor, whose latest film, "Valkyrie," opens in theaters on Christmas Day, offered up the top 10 "Craziest Things People Say About Tom Cruise on the Internet."

Among the highlights were No. 8, "I still wear those underpants from "Risky Business," and No. 4, "I believe all emotional and psychological disorders can be cured with Vicks Vapor Rub."
