HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Sarah McLachlan and her husband Ashwin Sood are splitting up.

The 40-year-old singer made the revelation during an interview with Billboard magazine to promote her upcoming greatest hits album, which includes two new tracks that center around the pain of the split.
