HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Randy Quaid and his wife are free on bail after being arrested Thursday in West Texas for allegedly skipping out on a $10,000 hotel bill.
The 58-year-old actor and his wife, Evi, each posted $20,000 bail late Thursday after spending several hours behind bars, Presidio County Sheriff Danny Dominguez told The Associated Press.
Quaid fetched his bail by receiving a ride to the bank from Dominguez, authorities said.
The couple is accused of running up the bill at an upscale property in Santa Barbara, Calif.
They were detained on a felony warrant for burglary, defrauding an innkeeper and conspiracy.
Quaid is perhaps best known for his roles in "National Lampoon's Vacation" movies, in which he starred as Cousin Eddie.
