CHICAGO – Playboy is making a last-minute addition to the cover of its July issue after founder Hugh Hefner's fiancee called off their wedding.
Chicago-based Playboy says it is affixing red and yellow stickers over the cover image of 24-year-old Crystal Harris. The stickers say, "Runaway Bride in this issue!" The 85-year-old Hefner announced Tuesday that the pair will not wed.
The issue is due on newsstands Friday.

CHICAGO – Playboy magazine founder Hugh Hefner says his fiancee has called off their wedding.
The 85-year-old Hefner says in a Tuesday message on Chicago-based Playboy's official Twitter feed that 24-year-old Crystal Harris has "had a change of heart."

CHICAGO – Good news for those who thought their copies of Playboy were gone forever when their moms found them and threw them away.
Playboy launched a Web-based subscription service Thursday called i.Playboy.com that allows viewers to see every single page of every single magazine - from the first issue nearly 60 years ago that featured Marilyn Monroe to the ones hitting the newsstands today.

LOS ANGELES – Former Playboy Playmate and B-movie actress Yvette Vickers was found dead Wednesday at her Benedict Canyon home. She was 82.
A neighbor discovered the body in a mummified state last week, police told the Los Angeles Times.
The body appeared to have gone undiscovered for an unknown period of time - anywhere from several months to a year - and investigators weren't able to determine if it was the remains of a man or woman, Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter said.
Neighbor Susan Savage told the Times she saw letters and cobwebs in Vickers' mailbox before going into her neglected home in the Benedict Canyon area to discover what she believed to be the actress's unrecognizable remains.

LOS ANGELES – Los Angeles County health officials say the bacteria that causes Legionnaires' disease was found in a hot tub at the Playboy Mansion where scores of people became ill after attending a fundraiser in February.
The Los Angeles Times says health officials presented their findings Friday at an annual conference at the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta.
The legionella bacteria also causes a milder illness called Pontiac fever. Symptoms include fever and headache.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Hugh Hefner just pulled more than a rabbit out of his hat.
The Playboy founder has donated the final $900,000 needed to preserve the landmark Hollywood sign, California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger told the Associated Press on Monday.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Hugh Hefner will soon have less company.
Karissa and Kristina Shannon, two of the Playboy founder's three girlfriends, are moving out of the Mansion, Hefner revealed to E! News. The shake-up was prompted by the 20-year-old twins expressing an interest in doing more Playmate-related promotional work for the iconic brand.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — The Girls Next Door are celebrating the arrival of Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett's newborn son.
"Little Hank is here," Bridget Marquardt tweeted from Cabo after the birth of Hank Randall IV on Friday. "9lbs 5oz...WOW! Congrats to Kendra and Hank!"
Also marveling at the weight of the football star in the making was fellow co-star Holly Madison.
"Congrats!!! a 9 pounder!" she said on her Twitter page.

LOS ANGELES — Hugh Hefner's iconic Playboy brand could be headed for a change.
The men's magazine is currently in talks to be sold, with negotiations reportedly heating up with a pair of interested parties.
One discussion involves Jim Griffiths and the private equity firm Golden Gate Capital, who are looking to purchase the brand for $300 million, a source familiar with the negotiations tells Reuters. Griffiths is a former Playboy entertainment president.
The company is also engaged in talks to sell itself to Iconix Brand Group, sources revealed Thursday. The New York-based Iconix owns brands that it licenses to manufacturers, such as Candies, Joe Boxer, Rocawear and London Fog.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Kendra Wilkinson married NFL star Hank Baskett on Saturday at the Playmate's onetime residence, the Playboy Mansion in Holmby Hills, Calif.
The couple's wedding took place in the early evening before approximately 500 guests. Among those in attendance were Playboy founder Hugh Hefner and fellow "Girl's Next Door" star, Bridget Marquardt.
