HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — The Osbournes are coming back to your living room.

The family, who starred in the hit MTV reality show "The Osbournes" for three seasons, are returning to television, where they'll host an hour-long variety show on Fox, according to Variety.

Fox has reportedly ordered six episodes of the series, which will be hosted by Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, and their two children, Jack and Kelly.

According to Fox alternative programming executive Mike Darnell, the show will be a throwback to the variety hits of the 70s, such as CBS' "The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour" and ABC's "Donny and Marie."

"We've been talking about how to renew the variety show concept and make it feel new for years now," Darnell told Variety.

Darnell, 46, says the show, which will be filmed in Los Angeles, will blend musical performances by the Osbournes and others with comedy sketches. In addition, a game show, audience participation and out-of-studio taped elements are also planned.

The series, which is from FremantleMedia North America, reportedly drew the attention of several networks, but Fox won out, in part thanks to Sharon Osbourne and Darnell sharing a similar vision for the show.

Darnell says he's hoping to launch the series with a Christmas special.

The Osbournes ended their run on MTV in 2005.
