NEW YORK — Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi is adding author to her resume.

The Jersey Shore star will publish her first book, tentatively titled A Shore Thing, Gallery Books, an imprint of publisher Simon & Schuster, announced Wednesday.

The novel, scheduled for publication in January, is described as "a fun, sexy novel about a single girl looking for love on the Jersey Shore."

"I'm pumped to announce to my fans a project that I've been working on for some time," the 22-year-old Snooki said in a statement. "This book will have you falling in love at the shore."
