CANNES, France – Naomi Campbell's charity is piggybacking on the high-wattage Cannes Film Festival to organize a fashion show in aid of the Japanese Red Cross' earthquake and tsunami relief fund.

The show will be held Monday at a historic market not far from the headquarters of the French Riviera movie showcase, which is in full swing though May 22.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Naomi Campell died rumors began surfacing Tuesday shortly after the death of a pioneering black model with the same first name.

Naomi Sims, considered by many as the first black supermodel, died Saturday from cancer in her home state of New Jersey. Her death was first announced by her son during an interview with the New York Times on Tuesday.

Ironically, Sims helped pave the way for Campbell, who lauched her successful modeling career as a teen when she signed with Elite Model Management.

LONDON — Naomi Campbell pleaded guilty on Friday to assaulting two police officers, stemming from a rage incident at London's Heathrow Airport in April.

The 38-year-old supermodel pleaded guilty to four of the six charges she was facing — two counts of assaulting a police constable; one of using threatening, abusive words or behavior to cabin crew; and one of using insulting, abusive, threatening behavior or disorderly conduct likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.

LONDON — Naomi Campbell was arrested today at London's Heathrow Airport for allegedly assaulting a police officer over a lost bag, British newspaper The Sun reports.

According to the Sun, the 37-year-old supermodel was preparing to catch a flight to Los Angeles when she apparently misplaced one of her bags. She then began arguing with airline officials and was told to leave the scene because she was "unfit to fly."
