While final details are still being ironed out, the service is expected to begin at 10 a.m. PT.

Grammys producer Ken Ehrlich will oversee the public memorial. He told Access Hollywood that the service will include "some types of performances," but won't be an extravagant concert.

"It will be a memorial service reflecting the dignity of what the family wants," said Ehrlich said. "It will be a fitting memorial to Michael Jackson — no dance numbers."

On Wednesday, the late singer's family scratched plans to hold a public memorial tomorrow at the music icon's Neverland Ranch.

"Contrary to previous news reports, the Jackson family is officially stating that there will be no public or private viewing at Neverland," said the family in a statement.

Plans for the memorial at the sprawling estate near Santa Barbara, Calif. were first revealed earlier in the week. However, the family was unable to obtain a residential exemption required for a burial on private property.

Jackson was at the Staples Center the night before his death last Thursday. The singer was rehearsing for his 50 sold-out comeback concerts at London's 02 Arena that were scheduled to begin this month.
