HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Her debut collection may have been widely panned by critics, but Lindsay Lohan is holding onto her fashion gig with Emanuel Ungaro.

"Yes (she's staying on), she has a job to do," the company's chief executive, Mounir Moufarrige, told Reuters on Tuesday.

Lohan was brought onboard in September as an "artistic advisor" to work alongside Spanish designer Estrella Archs. Their showing last month at the Louvre museum, which featured super-short pink dresses and blazers worn over bare skin, was ridiculed by many, including the founder of the couture house himself.

"Lindsay Lohan's collaboration was a disaster," the 76-year-old Ungaro, who no longer has contact with the company that bears his name, reportedly told reporters earlier this month at the Estoril Film Festival. "I am furious but I can't do anything about it."

"Mr. Ungaro has his views, he can keep them. I have no comment," responded Moufarrige to the remarks.

While Moufarrige admitted that Lohan's first go-around was far from perfect, he said the bashing was over the top.

"The criticism was harsh," he said. "I am sure we can do better in the collection to be honest but I think it was harsh ... But it did sell well."
