LONDON – Lily Allen's husband calls her the "fat controller".
The 'Smile' hitmaker is expecting a baby with her husband Sam Cooper and as the pregnancy reaches its latter stages the builder has compared his wife to rotund character from children's TV show 'Thomas the Tank Engine'.

LONDON — Lily Allen appears to be ending 2010 on a high note.
The British singer got engaged over the holidays to boyfriend Sam Cooper, according to the U.K.'s Daily Mail.
Allen reportedly "burst into tears" when Cooper popped the question on Christmas Day during the twosome's vacation in Bali.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Lily Allen has been hospitalized for a potentially fatal blood-poisoning condition called septicaemia.
The 25-year-old singer was rushed to the hospital from her Gloucestershire home on Friday night, just days after she suffered a miscarriage.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Pregnant Lily Allen is worried about losing her baby with boyfriend Sam Cooper after suffering a miscarriage two years ago.
"I came off the pill and, weirdly, a week later it happened," she tells Britain's Sunday Times of her pregnancy, which she announced last month. "But then it was really difficult, I had complications.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Lily Allen is pregnant!
The British singer has confirmed that she's expecting her first baby with boyfriend Sam Cooper, a builder she's been dating since last summer.
"Lily Allen and Sam Cooper are very happy to confirm that Lily is expecting their first child," her rep said Thursday. "Lily's professional commitments will carry on as normal, including a scheduled performance at the Big Chill this weekend."

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Lily Allen may have the urge to get pregnant, but she doesn't have a baby on the way – at least not yet.
The 25-year-old singer took to Twitter on Monday to shoot down pregnancy rumors after tabloids suggested she was sporting a baby bump in recent pictures.
"I'm not pregnant. FYI," wrote the British star, who is currently dating builder Sam Cooper.

LONDON — Lily Allen is spreading her wings in the fashion world with the launch of her very own jewelry line.
The 24-year-old British pop star presented her self-titled collection over tea and cakes Monday at Claridges in London.
"I love jewelry, always have," says Allen, who brushed off a wardrobe malfunction when she accidentally exposed her breast at the launch. "I feel that it completes an outfit."
Allen's collection, which features gem-studded animal and flower designs, is expected to arrive in stores in September.

LONDON — Two weeks after slamming the media's portrayal of her behavior, Lily Allen is apologizing for her actions at Tuesday night's Glamour Women of the Year Awards in London.
"Last time I wrote here, I was defending my honor and dignity, explaining my innocence and also outrage at the press for insinuating my behavior was embarrassing," the 23-year-old singer wrote in a blog on her MySpace page. "This time I'm putting my hands up, I got very drunk last night, too drunk. It's not cool getting that drunk."

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Lily Allen is going on the defense after topless photos of the British singer started making the rounds recently.
"I don't really like to respond to things I read about myself in the press but, for the record I was not thrown off anybody's yacht in Cannes," the "Smile" singer writes in a MySpace blog. "Occasionally I drink wine with lunch, and yes, I swim topless. This, in my book, is not embarrassing behavior."
